Wink!

Nothing new to update. We have a lot of packing, laundry and what not to do this weekend.
Brian is leaving early Monday morning.
I am going to be lonely.
I can't even begin to imagine how much love/cuddling Potter is going to need from me.


I thought I would post about a conversation Brian and I had last night:


We were laying in bed and started winking at each other.
Brian asked if I had to close both eyes before I could wink.
I told him that I was just being silly.
(Which, unfortunely, is a common occurance.)
I also told him how I used to not be able to wink with my right eye.
He didn't believe me, so I told him the story.
Every night for around a year, I worked out the muscles of my right eye.
I would put my eye on the pillow and work it out by opening and closing it.
Guess who has the most powerful eye in the world now...
ME!
I can easily wink both eyes.


This is a useless post.

But anyways, I am trying to be a more consistent blogger.

Two interviews set up for Brian on 4/29!
Hip hip hooray!

Having a bad day at work.
Two people in a row swore at me, a lot.
Frustrating!

I wish I could go to Kansas too....

Moving update...

One week down, and one more week for Brian at his current job.

It is getting exciting (and slightly scarier).

He has one (maybe two) interviews lined up for his first week in KC.

He leaves on Monday, April 27th.

We just pray that the Grand Am can make it.

I am more than ready for some better hours

but I would actually really like my job

it if weren't for the horrible hours.



I should get back to work.

YUCK!



Plans for the weekend:

Packing, watching Newsies, Oscar party with the LaBenne's. (Every year we have a contest to see who can guess the most amount correct, Brian won for the second year in a row, meaning he gets to pick a movie and a meal for us to make, I am making goat cheese red pepper cups, and they are super delicious. He also picked black bean burgers, "the good salad" and sweet potato fries, I am getting hungry thinking about it)



PS. My book is on hold until I can de-stress enough to write again, AKA, Brian get's a job. If I were a vampire, I would love my work schedule. If I were a vampire, I wouldn't be able to eat cheese. If I were normal, I wouldn't have typed those last two sentences...



GOTTA GO WORK FOR THE WEEKEND!!! (Did I mention it is beautiful outside?)

There are few things I hate more than my work schedule right now...

I will have been at work 2 hours when Brian gets home from work.
Meaning, I won't see him for another 7 hours.
It stinks.
It really puts a damper on my (our) nights
and makes things like grocery shopping difficult.

AH! I don't know how much longer of this I can take.
Hopefully I won't have to.
Brian has already had two phone calls for interviews in KC.

It is official!

And we are excited about it!

The plans have been put into place.

Brian and I are planning on moving to Kansas City!

Our good friends Erin and Timmy live there.

Brian put in his two weeks today at his job and is leaving for KC soon after.

Once he gets a job, Potter and I will follow.

We are excited and nervous and would appreciate any prayers.

When else in our lives would we be able to make a decision like this?

We are ready for a change and this just feels right. 

We aren't sure how long we will stay there.

We will miss you and would love to have visitors.

Kansas City is a cool place to visit/move to.

Plus it is a little warmer and sunnier.

And has less than half the unemployment rate than MI.

YAY!

Cheers to change and jumping in with both feet.

Big Plans!

Well, we have some big plans in the work.
They could be happening as soon as two weeks from Friday.
I am nervous and my stomach hurts thinking about it all.
It is very hard to know what to do.

The questions are:
To move or not to move? When to move or not move? Where to move or not move?

Our lease is up in May!
What do we do?!
We think we have made a decision and I will post about it and stop being so wishy washy by Friday!

Pray for us? Yikes!

Sorry blog. I am not so good at updating you. Here are some updates on my life:

1. Brian is starting a video production company part time. I will let you know when the website is up and running. We are super excited for and have high hopes for Brian to start doing it full time.

2. There was a mouse in our house. ICK!!!!! Brian caught it with the top of a blank cd holder thing and a piece of cardboard and walked it three blocks down. We hope there aren't anymore. Brian throught it was cute and name it Mr. Squeaky. I thought it was gross and wouldn't talk to it.

3. I am writing a book. Brian's says it is good so far. I will let you know.

4. Still have the house bug, the plan is 7 monthes and counting.

5. Potter ran away two weeks ago for around an hour at midnight. I walked around the neighborhood freaking out until I heard her collar and she ran back to me. The little sneak.

6. Also, I am doing super great at my new job. I like it but I hate the hours. They are miserable.

7. Brian's new job is good and he likes to work in Detroit.

8. I have started sewing again. I got an awesome new sewing machine for christmas/birthdays from my dad. I will post pictures later. I am sewing a purse, two skirts and placemats.

9. Spring is almost here!!!

10. I could use a tropical vacation.
