Bad mood...

Bah humbug!
That is how I feel today.
Do not want want to get out of pjs.
As embarrassing as it is to say,
I had a 2nd interview for a job I really wanted
and I didn't get it.
I am so disappointed.
But on to new and better things.
The bad thing is that I have been slacking
on applying to jobs since the first interview.

Other news, the weather has been gross
and I have been crafting.
I will say this, the last ten necklaces I made
I like the most out of any I have ever made.
I am pretty proud of them and want to keep them all
but alas, they should be up on the website etsy
by the end of the week.
Here is a picture of one of my favorites.

Also, I have cut and pinned 10 fabric birds for the mobile pictured below (I found the diy project from the website http://www.designspongeonline.com).  I think it is adorable and it if turns out well, I might make a few more to sell. I will let you know how it goes.

Off to make some necklaces, wish me luck.

House-guests and a birthday...

Well, today has officially ended our 1.5 week long streak with visitors.
While it was tremendously fun,
I am EXHAUSTED!
I woke up today with a stuffy head, sore throat and all achy.

It began Thursday, July 23rd,
my wonderful mom took the mega bus here.
It was great having her here and I miss her.
We showed her the sights, ate good food,
Went dancing, antiquing and sat by the pool.
She also got me a wonderful bed spread
for my birthday and if I get motivated,
Here is a picture of it:
Here is a crazy picture of us from photobooth:
She stayed until Monday, July 27th.

I dropped her off at the megabus station at 11 am.
And went to pick up Brian's cousin Alex at 11:30 am.
It was good having him here,
although it was a lot of late nights
and we watched a lot of how I met your mother.
His brother Luke came and picked him up
and they left at 2 pm on Thursday.

And at 4 pm on Thursday, July 30th,
Brian's parents, Jim and Sue, and his sister, Andrea, arrived.
It was so good to see them and we miss them.
Potter was so happy to see them again,
she couldn't stop jumping and wagging her tail.
We saw some more sights of KC, ate good food,
played games, sat by the pool, and also...
I have tons of pictures but they are on the other computer,
I will post them later.

Celebrated Sue and my birthday on Sun, Aug 2nd.
(the greatest day of the year...)
We went to church, sat by the pool
and then went out for mexican food.
It is always kind of letdown after a birthday.

Brian's family left early this morning
and our visitor streak is complete.
It was great but now we are back to the daily grind.
Me, applying to jobs and Brian, working working working.

We do have excitement in the horizon though...
Next weekend we are celebrating our 3 year anniversary
and doing a staycation in Kansas City.
We are having a 3 day weekend to sit by the pool,
do fun sightseeing in KC and go out to good restaurants.

We are still praying (hourly) for the future.
No direction as of yet.
Happy Monday dear readers.
